Summary | 0000920: Add option to ignore/skip files with mismatched sizes
Description | Recently we were faced with failed restore due to a single file which had its size mismatched (Error: attribs.c:420 File size of restored file /logs/audit.log.idx not correct. Original 32737968, restored 32738032.) I believe that this should be warning or if it must remain as a fatal error an option to skip would be nice. Workaround is to manually deselect this file, run restore, see next problematic file, deselect, restore, ... and so on. With huge restores (usually for disaster recovery) this will be significant issue and any time wasted on this would probably cause frustration. Please let me know if I can be of any help with this feature.

Hello cleaning old report entry here, are you still able to reproduce this with recent version of Bareos? Usually this type of message show a trouble with the storage (volume damaged) or the fd restores failing due to bad FS. |
