Summary0000720: Problem: nothing provides libz.so.1(ZLIB_1.2.0)(64bit) needed by bareos-common-16.2.4-12.1.x86_64
DescriptionHi!

I want to install bareos-storage 16.2.4 on SLES 11 SP2.
However I get this error message:
Problem: nothing provides libz.so.1(ZLIB_1.2.0)(64bit) needed by bareos-common-16.2.4-12.1.x86_64

But the required library exists on the system:
find /lib* -name "libz.so.1"
/lib/libz.so.1
/lib64/libz.so.1
Steps To Reproducezypper install bareos-storage

Problem: nothing provides libz.so.1(ZLIB_1.2.0)(64bit) needed by bareos-common-16.2.4-12.1.x86_64
Solution 1: do not install bareos-storage-16.2.4-12.1.x86_64
Solution 2: break bareos-common-16.2.4-12.1.x86_64 by ignoring some of its dependencies

Bareos.org only provides packages only for supported distributions.
SLES11SP2 is no longer supported by SUSE.
I guess you installed the SLES11SP4 Bareos packages and it seams, SLES11SP4 comes with a newer version of libz.

The solution is to update to SLES11SP4 or SLES12SP1.
