Summary0000602: NDMP/NetApp : more than 10 thousand of warning log messages
DescriptionHi,
I have 2 bareos servers, one is director and has postgres database, the other is the storage device. I have configured NDMP backups for a NetApp filer running Cluter DOT 8.3.1.
NetApp volumes are between 300GB and 1.8TB, containing millions of files and directories.
The situation is the same on bareos version 15.2 (with more annoyance because of bug ID 330 causing all jobs to be in erro) and also on 16.1.0 I currently run.
Some jobs may end with "Warning" causing supervision to be in alert.
Logs are mostly (99%) generated during 'DUMP: dumping (Pass III) [directories]', 1% more during 'DUMP: dumping (Pass IV) [regular files]'

Can confirm this. It produces a massive log overhead which makes a list joblog output a bit unreadable.
