Summary | 0000540: 15.2-rc1 assigns lack of plugins to Warning level
Description | I've deliberately set the Plugin Directory config variable in bareos-dir.conf, but have no plugins installed yet. At every startup, bareos-dir emits a warning *via email*: 13-Oct 12:58 bareos-dir JobId 0: Warning: Failed to find any plugins in /usr/lib64/bareos/plugins I don't care about the warning showing up on the console or in messages, but as it's a warning, it seems to automatically trigger an email, too. That's excessive for a warning that, basically, says "Nothing happened". Suggest recategorizing that to Informational level.

Confirmed still present in -master (15.4).
We are not going to change this behavior. Things are already logged as a warning and you obviously want to enable things without a proper setup which is fine but then you get a warning. If you really don't want to get the email then fix your message routing rules see the message resource and the documentation on how to setup things in the way you want e.g. ignore any warning. |
