Summary | 0000358: Auto labeling of volumes - growing integer values for volumes from all pools
Description | I have 3 pools: Pool1, Pool2, Pool3 For Pool1 i have: Label Format = "Pool1-" For Pool2 i have: Label Format = "Pool2-" For Pool3 i have: Label Format = "Pool3-" Then, when system creates volumes and label IT, it label it with schema: Pool1-0001,Pool2-0002,Pool3-0003,Pool1-0004 etc. For each pool there should be differents counter for labeling. Actual way of labeling is something for me not logic. It is bug, or by design ?

The number added to the volumes is their index in the media table. You are always free to name the volumes as you wish, and can do some tricks with variables, see "Variable Expansion on Media Labels" in the docs. Please ask such questions on the Mailinglist before filing a bug. |

We will not change the way how the labels are created.
