Looks like the reason is, that on debian 8
apt-get upgrade
is able to install the packet
bareos-database-mysql
but all other packets need
apt-get dist-upgrade

So, the dist-upgrade is working for me (after all media is deleted, there is no fear for a database problem with existing date)

So, is there a remaining problem? Your packages have been mixed between 16.2.4 and 17.2.4, and therefore the database backend could not be loaded.

No reamining problem on my implementation.

But looks like a change in the dependencies of the package:
"bareos-database-mysql"
from installable with "apt-get update"
to installable only with "apt-get dist-update"
(like all the other 17.2.4 packages),
will prevent similar problems on other implementations,
when a apt-get update is proceed.

From my side, you can close this issue.
My bareos is up and running.

Thanks
