Summary0001017: New counter variable for volume labels
DescriptionHi,
actually when a variable is defined in the "label format" field for a Pool configuration, it is not possible to add a simple "counter" variable in the volume name.
Using a timestamp is not very useful when you recycle purged volumes, as the filename will not be an indication of the "freshness" of the volume and cause mistakes in a disaster recovery when you are under pressure of your boss ;)

Per example, the label format would be "vol-$Dir-$Pool-$Counter", where "$counter" is a unique number (or UUID) generated by the director:
- vol-DirProd-PoolA-2546
- vol-DirProd-PoolA-2547
- vol-DirProd-PoolH-2548
- ...

Regards,
Nicolas

This will not be implemented without a community code effort proposing a PR or paying development.
Notice we will deprecate the use of volume label variable due to being too often misused.
